Vermont State Police announce retirement of Capt JP Sinclair

Longtime Vermont State Police member Jean-Paul (JP) Sinclair, who first joined the agency in 1987 and in the decades since has investigated some of the state’s highest profile criminal cases, will retire next month following 31 years of service to Vermonters. Sinclair, a captain, became the Vermont State Police’s chief criminal investigator in 2013 and has worked as a detective in various capacities for more than 20 years. For the past year, Sinclair has led the VSP’s Bureau of Criminal Investigations.

King Street Center welcomes Ruggles to their team

King Street Center warmly welcomes Joe Ruggles as its new Teen Program Director. Ruggles joins the leadership staff after serving at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta and Tenacity in Boston for several years. This University of Vermont graduate and Colchester native will manage King Street Center's Teen Program including year-round academic support, enrichment, athletics, job training, daily meals, and mentoring.

Lucy Thayer joins VHB as a Landscape Designer

Lucy Thayer recently joined VHB’s South Burlington office as a Landscape Designer. She has six years of landscape architecture experience, a strong horticultural background, and was a project manager for $1.2 million project for the State of Vermont. Lucy received her Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University and her AAS in Landscape Development and Ornamental Horticulture from Vermont Technical College.
