Rutland Regional welcomes John Karl, MD
Rutland Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome John Karl, MD, to its team. Dr Karl will be affiliated with Vermont Orthopaedic Clinic, a department of Rutland Regional Medical Center, specializing in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery.
Dr Karl received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dartmouth College and Medical Degree from Columbia University School Medicine. He also completed his residency at Columbia and a fellowship with NYU Langone Orthopaedic Hospital in New York, New York.
Cancer Patient Support Foundation names Cushing new Operations Manager
Shelby Cushing, of Fletcher, has been named the new Operations Manager for the Cancer Patient Support Foundation (CPSF). The foundation has been providing services and support to cancer patients and their families in Vermont and Northern New York for over 18 years.
Gifford welcomes Drs Edwards, Montecino to general surgery
Two new providers, Victoria Edwards, DO, and Rafael Montecino, MD, joined Gifford Health Care in mid-August, strengthening the Gifford general surgery team to meet the needs of central Vermont patients. Edwards and Montecino will provide a variety of services in both office and operating-room settings, from surgery required by diseases of the skin to appendix removal, to comprehensive breast care. Both surgeons were attracted by Gifford’s size, commitment to personalized health care, and sense of community.
