Ski Vermont introduces Adam White as new communications chief

Vermont Business Magazine Ski Vermont has announced the hiring ofAdam White as its Director of Communications, bringing a new voice to the nonprofit organization that represents 50 alpine and cross-country areas across the state. White spent the past 12 years covering skiing and snowboarding in Vermont for local and national newspapers, magazines and online publications.

White succeeds Sarah Wojcik, who served as Director of Communications and Marketing at Ski Vermont before departing in May to take the position of Associate Editor and New Business Director at Ski Area Managementmagazine.

"Skiing in Vermont transcends sport; it is an integral part of the state’s culture, history and identity,” said White, who lives in Jericho. “It is truly a dream come true for me to help represent and promote this sport and industry in the state my family and I call home."

Skiing is a significant contributor to Vermont’s economy, bringing $900M in direct spending each season, two-thirds of which occurs off mountain in surrounding towns and communities, and generating more than$120 million in tax revenues for the state."
