Alsofrom elected chair of Imaging the World board

Jan Alsofrom has been elected board chair of the Burlington nonprofit, Imaging the World. Jane is former Radiation Therapy Program Director at the University of Vermont where she also has taught classes in the radiation therapy degree program. She also is chair of the Vermont Board of Radiologic Technology.

Imaging the World, now 10 years old, runs programs in Africa to make ultrasound screening available to pregnant women in rural areas. The screening identifies problem pregnancies early and helps save the lives of both the pregnant women and the children they carry.

VFCU named VHFA top performer

Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) “Top Performers” recognizes organizations and individuals who had the highest VHFA production from January 1st through December 31st, 2018. Vermont Federal Credit Union was ranked first among all 18 Vermont participating lenders, which includes Credit Unions, Banks, and Mortgage Companies. Patricia Boyce, one of Vermont Federal Credit Union’s Mortgage Originators, was ranked first among all participating Mortgage Originators.

UVM President appointed to NCAA Infractions Committee

University of Vermont president Tom Sullivan has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions. He will begin serving immediately and continue through August 31, 2021. The committee is an independent administrative body charged with deciding infractions cases involving NCAA member institutions, their employees and their students. Its membership includes volunteers from NCAA member institutions and conferences and individuals from the general public who have legal training.

Northfield Savings Bank announces promotion of Hutchins

Northfield Savings Bank (NSB) is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Chad Hutchins to Vice President, Commercial Banking. In this role, Hutchins will work to develop new commercial deposit and lending relationships for the Bank in the Chittenden County region through calling efforts, networking, referrals and marketing, while maintaining his existing loan and commercial banking portfolio. Hutchins is based out of NSB’s Taft Corners office in Williston.

Sara Holbrook Community Center appoints new board member Kehr

Executive Director Leisa Pollander is happy to announce that Margie Kehr has joined its Board of Directors. “I am excited to have Margie join the Center's board. Her commitment to children, families, and the greater community will serve the Sara Holbrook Center well. Already fully engaged in fundraising events planning, she has hit the ground running!” Kehr earned a B.S. in Marketing and Information Technology at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce.
