The Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) Corporate Development department is pleased to welcome Jennifer Civello as director of Volunteer Services and Community Engagement. This position will allow for the expansion of volunteer programs at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) and the health system’s several campuses.

National Life Group has appointed a new corporate controller who will oversee many of the company’s key financial management areas. David Soccodato will be Vice President and Controller, expanding from his current duties as the corporate tax director.

With his expanded role, Soccodato will be responsible for corporate accounting, payroll, financial reporting and investment accounting.

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) welcomes Kathleen Mulkern, CNM, MPH, to its Women’s Wellness Center team. As a certified nurse midwife, Mulkern has been caring for mothers and babies for nearly three decades at clinics and hospitals in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. She most recently worked as a certified nurse midwife at Memorial Hospital in North Conway, New Hampshire.

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC)—a part of Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC)—has announced the appointment of Ivette Guttmann, MD, a highly experienced Sports Medicine specialist, to SVMC Orthopedics and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Physicians.

“Dr Guttmann is both an exceptional sports medicine physician and a record-setting athlete,” said Trey Dobson, chief medical officer for SVMC and medical director for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Physicians. “Her clinical and athletic experience make her an excellent fit for treating athletes at all levels.”
