Fleming to head Up Children, Youth and Families Services at UCS
United Counseling Service (UCS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Fleming as the new Director of Children, Youth and Family Services (CYFS). Jason will be responsible for the clinical and administrative oversight of the agency’s system of care for children and families.
“Jason brings a tremendous amount of energy, extensive experience and a wealth of knowledge to the position,” said Lorna Mattern, Executive Director of UCS. “We are excited that he is joining the leadership team.”

Fillio joins SVMC ExpressCare
Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) is pleased to welcome Physician Assistant Paige Fillio to SVMC ExpressCare and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Physicians. Fillio earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Westfield State University in Massachusetts in 2021. She received her bachelor’s in allied health and biology from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

SVMC welcomes Burns to emergency department
Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Physicians are pleased to welcome Sean Burns, MD, to the SVMC Emergency Department. Dr. Burns earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and his bachelor’s in chemical engineering from Northeastern University in Massachusetts. He completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Boston Medical Center in Massachusetts. He has worked as a medical oncology research technician and as a medicinal chemistry research assistant.
