Laura Rice, former associate director at Women's Information Services, a New Hampshire-based nonprofit dedicated to ending gender-based violence, has been appointed executive director of the Children’s Literacy Foundation, a nonprofit whose mission is to inspire a love of reading and writing among low-income, at-risk and rural children up to age 12 throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. She succeeds founder Duncan McDougall, who retired in March.

Clay Forgan has joined Century 21 MRC in St Albans as a realtor. Forgan, who grew up in the real estate business — his father being a broker himself — believes in building strong relationships with his clients.
Forgan has more than 25 years' experience as an engineering manager covering North America and South America. During this time, he formed businesses of his own and purchased investment properties. With a strong knowledge of construction, plumbing and electrical, he ultimately designed and built his own home.
