For more than thirty years, Ronda has worked in sales management in the hospitality industry, most recently as the National Sales Manager at Stowe Mountain Lodge and as the Director of Sales at Topnotch Resort.

A local fire chief, an Assistant State Fire Marshall, an emergency response team, and a non-profit have been recognized for their contributions to emergency preparedness and response in Vermont. The awards were presented during the Vermont Emergency Preparedness Conference this past weekend.

Inntopia’s calculated growth and recent acquisition of Ryan Solutions bring about new roles for senior members of the Ryan Solutions’ team and the addition of three new employees to the Inntopia team. The company now has Vermont offices in Stowe and Burlington, and a new office in Edwards, Colorado.

Howard Center friends and staff gathered November 2 at the Pizzagalli Center at the Shelburne Museum to present the organization’s first “Help is Here” award to Shelburne resident Lisa Steele. The award honors an individual whose contribution personifies the agency’s mission and demonstrates a passion for helping the individuals and families served by Howard Center.

Suzanne L Lowensohn joined the Grossman School of Business accounting faculty in August 2016. Prior to this appointment, she was an associate professor of accounting at Colorado State University for 14 years. She received a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of South Florida and her Ph.D. from the University of Miami.

Burlington law firm, Sylvester & Brow, was recognized in the 2017 Edition of "Best Law Firms" by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers. The firm was given the highest possible Tier 1 ranking by the publication.

The Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties announced the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors and elected 2017 Board officers during their Fall Annual Board Retreat.

The national Volunteers in Medicine office is pleased to announce that Sasha K Bianchi has joined the organization as its new Executive Director. Sasha has dedicated her career to advocating for underserved populations. After graduating with high honors from Yale University, she began her professional life as a Teach for America special educator in Greater New Orleans.

The Vermont Brewers Association (VBA) has selected Amy Cronin, of Stowe VT, as the organization’s Festival and Marketing Manager. The VBA is a craft brewery nonprofit membership organization based in Burlington. The Association is most well known for their Brewery Challenge Passport Program and hosting the annual Vermont Brewers Festival on Burlington’s waterfront.

Vermont Information Technology Leaders, Inc (VITL) has named Leanne Shulman as its new healthcare data analyst. In this position, Shulman is responsible for performing complex data analyses—using VITL’s data warehouse—for internal business and client use. She will also provide problem solving capabilities for VITL’s clinical analysis and process improvement procedures.

Lake Sunapee Bank is pleased to announce that Sarah Baker has been appointed Branch Manager of its Randolph, VT, Main Street location. Starting on November 7, 2016 Sarah will manage all aspects of the branch’s operations, working closely with customers and staff.
