Executive Director Sarah Carpenter announced Kim Roy has been promoted to Director of Multifamily Asset Management and Compliance at VHFA. She began her career at the Agency in 1989 in the Communication's Department and has held a variety of positions with VHFA. Kim most recently served as Assistant Director of Multifamily Programs.

Norwich has named Air Force Colonel Andrew Hird as dean of the College of National Services, which oversees Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs at Norwich through the departments of Army Military Science, Aerospace Studies and Naval Science.

Senior Warden Rich Watkin, PhD, of Wilmington is Vermont's State Game Warden of the Year. Watkin received the award in recognition of his excellent service from Governor Phil Scott on May 24 in Montpelier. Lt Greg Eckhardt, Watkin’s supervisor, praised him for his exemplary attitude and dedication to the job. “Rich is knowledgeable in all aspects of the job,” said Eckhardt.

Kim Royar, wildlife biologist with Vermont Fish & Wildlife and resident of Wallingford, was awarded the 2017 Canute Dalmasse Award by Agency of Natural Resources Secretary Julie Moore in recognition of her outstanding contributions to conservation.

New England Dairy Promotion Board announced today the appointment of Rene Thibault of Jericho, Vermont to the position of Public Relations and Communications Specialist. Thibault will be based in the organization’s Winooski, Vermont office and will work with Vermont and New England dairy farmers to share their stories and raise awareness about modern dairy farm practices.

Kennith Sartorelli, MD, a professor in the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Surgery at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, and division chief of pediatric surgery and surgeon-in-chief at the UVM Medical Center’s Children’s Hospital, was invested in a formal ceremony on June 2 as the inaugural Green and Gold Professor of Pediatric Surgery.
