As of April 6th, Simon Renault has joined our team as the Scott Farm Orchard General Manager. Simon grew up in a family of apple cider makers in Brittany, France, and has been the manager of Sun Hill Farm in Putney, for the past 12 years. His enthusiasm, experience and diverse skill set will contribute greatly to Scott Farm Orchard.

Attorney R Prescott “Scott” Jaunich of the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC has been elected Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, the premier professional organization for US real estate lawyers.

On Tuesday, April 7, two new members joined the Burlington School District (BSD) Board of School Commissioners. Aden Haji, Ward 8, and Polly Vanderputten, Ward 3, were sworn in last week, along with six returning board members. The meeting and swearing-in happened live via a Zoom Videoconference, a first for the District.

The Vermont Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Erica Canada as the organization’s new Director of Membership Engagement and Development, Maggie Wilson as the new Director of Communications, and Emily Rivers as the new Tourism Communications and Program Manager. They will work closely with President Betsy Bishop, who has been with the Chamber for 10 years.

Kassandra Kohler, CIA, MBA is a Certified Internal Auditor with 12 years’ experience in various financial services roles, has been named controller at Yankee Farm Credit. Ms. Kohler assumed her new role April 1 and is working out of the Association’s Williston offices.

Tom Bazzano of OneDigital Health and Benefits has recently earned the Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC) designation from the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). The REBC marks those who have a strong knowledge and understanding of the ever changing group benefits arena, providing sound and comprehensive advice to their clients.

Christina Cross has joined Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs as an Associate Accountant. Christina graduated from Southern New Hampshire University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She also earned degrees from Wheelock College in Boston, Massachusetts, Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York and Broome Community College in Broome County, New York.

Former State Rep Kiah Morris, a leader and consultant on issues of diversity, equity, and leadership, has joined the Rights & Democracy staff as its Movement Politics Director in Vermont.
