It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that the Board of Directors announces Jen Oldham’s departure as Executive Director of Vermont Works for Women (VWW), at the end of 2019. For the past two years, Jen has played a critical role in the development and success of the organization, and we will miss her and her inspiring leadership.

Goodwill Northern New England exceeded its $350,000 fundraising goal for its new Roosevelt Fund For Employee Stability. Revenue from the fund will offer relief and support for the nonprofit’s employees for years to come.

The Prouty – named in memory of patient Audrey Prouty – is the biggest charity challenge north of Boston. This long-standing event takes place in Hanover, New Hampshire, and raises money for groundbreaking cancer research and important patient supportive services at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center (NCCC).

The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) has named Peter Samson its Chief Lending Officer (CLO), effective July 1, 2019. He will lead the Authority's Commercial, Agricultural and Loan Resolution lending departments.

Golden has been selected for the AVP- Branch Manager position at its new Williston branch located at 31 Market Street, Finney Crossing. Jennifer Conley, PE, PTOE, has joined VHB as the Director of Transportation Systems overseeing the firm’s transportation planning and traffic engineering team based in South Burlington.

A former intern in the South Burlington office, VHB is thrilled to welcome Nina Truslow back as a Transportation Consultant in the Structures Team. Nina recently graduated from the University of Vermont with a BS in civil engineering with a minor in community and international development.

VHB is pleased to announce that Ian Maerki has joined the South Burlington, Vermont office as a Transportation Designer in the Transportation Engineering group. A recent graduate of the University of Vermont, Ian earned a BS in civil engineering.

Vermont Public Radio Reporter Amy Noyes has received a fellowship from the Education Writers Association as part of that organization’s ongoing efforts to support enterprising journalism projects. Noyes will create a series on innovation in the higher education business model at Vermont’s small colleges, many of which are struggling to stay afloat.

Food Connects is excited to welcome Julicia Myers to their team as their Food Hub Sales Manager. Julicia joins the team from Canajoharie, NY where she worked as the Agricultural Economic Development Program Coordinator for Montgomery County.
