John Lens, P.E., has received the 2011 Vermont Engineer of the Year award from the Vermont Society of Professional Engineers. Lens, a civil engineer, has been a principal at GeoDesign, Inc., in Windsor, VT, since 1995 and is currently enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of Vermont.

The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) is pleased to announce that Kelli Rivers, Human Resources Director, has passed The HR Certification Institute’s Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) exam.

Vermont Attorney General William H. Sorrell announced today that Susanne R. Young has been appointed as an Assistant Attorney General. She will serve as the supervising attorney for the staff that provides legal services to the Department of Mental Health. Young served most recently as Legal Counsel to Governor Douglas and as Deputy State Treasurer.
