Sarah Wallace-Brodeur, former senior director of operations at Vermont Family Network, has joined the Cancer Patient Support Foundation as executive director.

Wallace-Brodeur’s background in nonprofit management and fundraising, combined with her deep commitment to serving cancer patients and their families, will help to advance the mission of the organization that recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont.

The Burlington law firm Dinse has announced that attorney Carol Pfeiffer has been accepted into Class II of the New England Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. The institute was created by ACTEC to develop future leaders in the profession through a series of in-depth educational presentations led by outstanding subject matter experts across the country.

The northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin has presented its inaugural Excellence in Action Award to attorney David Sylvester. Jeremy Gerber, former development manager for the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, has joined Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility as membership and development manager. In his new role, Gerber develops and implements VBSR’s strategic approach to membership recruitment, retention and engagement in addition to fundraising for the organization’s Expanding Our Movement Fund.

The Vermont Affordable Housing Coalition and the Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness have merged to form a single organization — the Housing and Homelessness Alliance of Vermont — and appointed Frank Knaack as its inaugural executive director.

Ashley Jacquinto, former area sales manager at The Regus Group, has been named business development specialist at Liquid Measurement Systems, a Vermont aerospace firm.

In her new role, Jacquinto will concentrate on the emerging commercial market, in which LMS has achieved recent significant successes with aerospace manufacturers MD Helicopters and De Havilland Aircraft.
