Vermonter becomes a member of AIIP

Kathie J. Sullivan, Principal of Sullivan Information Management Services (SIMS), has become the only Vermont member of the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP.) Sullivan has been a law librarian and professional researcher for over 20 years and provides research and litigation support to law firms, government agencies, businesses, and strategic planners. AIIP is a membership industry association with over 500 business owners from more than 20 countries providing research and consulting services to industries.

AARP appoints new tax-aide program state director

Walt Keating of Milton has been named the Vermont State Coordinator of the AARP Tax-Aide program – the nation’s largest free volunteer-run tax counseling and preparation service. Keating will oversee some 130 volunteers and regional coordinators serving Vermonters across the state in preparing and filing tax returns. Last year the program helps as many as 6,000 low and moderate income Vermonters, with special attention to those age 60 and older, file state and federal tax returns resulting in approximately $2.5 million in refunds.

Automotive industry veteran joins Dealer.com as head sales chief
