Vermont Adult Learning Names New Directors

Vermont Adult Learning (VAL) is pleased to announce the hire of two new Directors:

Marcey Carver has joined the team of Directors at the Central Office in Waterbury as Director of Finance & Administration. Carver comes to VAL from Lydall Thermal/Accoustical, Inc. in St. Johnsbury, Vermont where she was the Assistant Controller. She has a long career history of Financial management and accounting. Carver recently completed her MS in Accountancy and has an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Washington University and received here BA from Wellesley College.

NBT Bank Hires McCarthy as Commercial Banker for Vermont

NBT Bank Regional President Matt Durkee announced that Peter McCarthy has been hired as vice president and senior commercial banking relationship manager. In this position, McCarthy is responsible for developing and managing business relationships with the bank’s commercial customers in Vermont. He is based at the bank’s regional office at 150 Bank Street in Burlington.

“We are pleased to have Peter McCarthy on our commercial banking team,” Durkee said. “His experience serving all types of companies in Vermont will be very beneficial to our customers.”

Green Mountain Beverage Hires New Employees

Middlebury, VT - Bret Williams, President and CEO of Green Mountain Beverage, producers of Woodchuck Draft Cider in Middlebury, Vermont, announces the following new hires:

Russ Beatty has been named Quality Control Manager. He brings 15 years of quality control experience including positions at General Mills, Yoplait Yogurt, Perrier, and Poland Springs. The past nine years were spent as Ben & Jerry's Quality Control Manager. Beatty resides in Monkton.
