Zoe Breiner has joined the staff of Home Instead Senior Care as Office Adminstrator/Receptionist. Breiner is a graduate of Champlain College and Burlington College and recently retired from IBM. Home Instead Senior Care, office located in South Burlington provides non-medical companionship and home care for senior citizens.

The presentation focused on the positive effects of mindfulness-based training on our interaction with others and our capacity to collaborate.

Dan Balón, Ph.D., is the Director of Diversity & Equity for the Burlington Schools. Michael Lipson, JD, LLM, serves as an administrative law officer for the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation. Gail Stevenson, Ph.D., is Executive Director for the Vermont Council on World Affairs. Since 2002, she has served on HowardCenter's Child, Youth and Family Advisory Council as a member and Vice-Chair.

Experienced hospitalist joins Gifford Medical Center
Experienced hospitalist Dr. Jay Stearns has joined Gifford Medical Center’s inpatient care team.
Dr. Stearns previously worked as a hospitalist at Central Vermont Medical Center for two years and spent the prior seven years at hospitals in New Zealand and Australia, also as a hospitalist.
Before that, he was an internal medicine provider in Anchorage, Alaska, for six years.
