Estate Planning Attorney Stephen A. Unsworth attended an educational conference in Boston, Massachusetts at the end of April sponsored by the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. The Academy conference provided attorneys with an invaluable opportunity to meet others in the profession and discuss ways to better serve the needs of their clients. Topics discussed included Middle Class Asset Protection and Roth IRA Conversions in 2010 and beyond.
Maple Leaf Farm appoints new food service director
Bill Young, Executive Director of Maple Leaf Farm is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Miller as Food Service Director. Lisa joined the Food Service staff at Maple Leaf Farm in 2008 and prior to that was the head cook at Mount Mansfield Union High School for twelve years. Lisa’s husband and three grown children have challenged her cooking skills for much longer. Her mission as Food Service Director is to provide tasty, nutritionally sound meals with a focus on fresh, locally grown ingredients.

Paul Frank + Collins associate Kristina M. Roomet has joined the Board of Directors of the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (“VYCC”). The VYCC is a non-profit youth, leadership, service, conservation, and education organization that instills in young people ages 16-24, the values of personal responsibility, hard work, education, and respect for the environment. This is accomplished by using conservation projects as the vehicle for learning in an intense environment.

New Pediatrician joins BMH Medical Staff
Pediatrician Katya Petrova, MD, has joined the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital medical staff. She is in practice with Just So Pediatrics, located at 16 Belmont Avenue, across the street from the hospital. Dr. Petrova received her master’s degree in biomedical sciences at Albany Medical College, Center for Immunology and Microbial Diseases, having received her medical degree at the Russian State Medical University in Moscow earlier.
