Lisa Ventriss Receives Key Achieve Award at Key4Women Forum

More than 250 women from

throughout Vermont gathered at Sheraton in South Burlington on Thursday

for the 2010 Key4Women Forum. All proceeds from the 2010 Key4Women

Forum were donated to the Vermont Women's Fund.

"The Vermont Women's Fund is thrilled to once again be the beneficiary

of the 9^th annual Key4Women Forum. The funds we have received through

this event allow us to invest in programs throughout the state that

promote leadership, equality, economic independence and opportunities

"Vermont Woman" Newspaper Publisher Suzanne Gillis Inducted into the New England Newspaper Hall of Fame

The New England Newspaper and Press Association (NENPA) recently inducted Suzanne Gillis, publisher of Vermont Woman Newspaper, into the New England Newspaper Hall of Fame – the only woman from Vermont ever inducted and the twelfth woman out of 80 inductees.

Gillis is the founding publisher of four newspapers: Vermont Woman Newspaper 1985; Vermont Times 1990; Provincetown (MA) Banner 1995; and the second incarnation of Vermont Woman Newspaper 2003.

New Project Engineer Joins Engineering Ventures

Engineering Ventures is pleased to announce the addition of Matthew

Lindhiem, E.I., to the staff. Matt has a Bachelor of Science in Civil

Engineering from Geneva College, in Pennsylvania, and a Masters of

Engineering from Cornell University with concentration in Structural

Engineering. Previously Matt spent 5 years as a Senior Engineer designing

steel and concrete bridges for the NYSDOT and municipalities, as well as

providing field inspection services. He comes to Engineering Ventures with

Okemo Executive Chef Earns ACF Certification

Okemo Mountain Resort Executive Chef Michael Breen was

recently designated Certified Executive Chef by The American Culinary

Federation. The Executive Chef certification identifies those chefs who

have demonstrated a level of culinary competence and expertise through

their education, work experience, culinary knowledge and skills

consistent with the executive chef level. The ACF Executive Chef

certification is the fourth level of official recognition in the

organization's Cooking Professional category. It is eclipsed only by the
