Frank Ittleman, M.D., named Associate VP of Operations, UVM Medical Group at Fletcher Allen Health Care

Frank Ittleman, M.D., has been appointed associate vice president of Operations for the University of Vermont Medical Group. In this role, he will be working with both the medical group providers and referring providers throughout Fletcher Allen’s service region.

The University of Vermont Medical Group includes approximately 500 primary care and specialty physicians who are members of the clinical faculty of the University of Vermont College of Medicine and the medical staff at Fletcher Allen Health Care. They are engaged in patient care, education and research.

Community sailing center announces new chairperson, officers and members of the board of directors

Mark Naud, outgoing board president of the Community Sailing Center, announced the election of the new slate of officers and board members for the upcoming year at the organization’s annual meeting held in November at the Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center.

The Community Sailing Center’s Officers for 2012 are: Board Chair, Marc Sherman, Outdoor Gear Exchange; Vice Chair, Kate Villa, CCS Fundraising; Treasurer, Jason Frank, Morgan Stanley Private Bank; Secretary, Sarah Sears, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor.

Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility names Sen. Ayer and former Rep. Larson as Lawmakers of the Year

Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility presented its annual Legislator of the Year award last week to two lawmakers responsible for shepherding the state’s historic health care law, Act 48, through the Statehouse.

Sen. Claire Ayer, D-Addison, and former Rep. Mark Larson, D-Burlington, received the award at VBSR’s 2011 fall conference Nov. 16th at Mount Snow in West Dover. Ayer is the chair of the Senate Health and Welfare Committee and Larson chaired the House Health Care Committee.
