Merchants Bank has announced the appointment of Connie Carter as Community Banking Manager of the Northfield branch. Carter replaces Doreen Lane, who recently retired.

Carter brings 23 years of banking experience to the position. She comes to Merchants from TD Bank in Montpelier, where she worked as Store Manager, managing a team of 10 direct reports responsible for ongoing branch growth.

Vermont Technical College is pleased to welcome Michelle Barber as Director of Marketing and Constituent Relations. Barber brings nearly 10 years of experience in marketing, community development, civic engagement, digital marketing and social networking to Vermont Tech’s communications team.

Jill Fraga has recently joined Geri Reilly Real Estate, located in South Burlington, as a Realtor and Buyer’s Agent. Fraga brings experience helping clients with country and rural properties in Addison and Chittenden County. As the newest member of the team, Fraga looks forward to providing personalized and professional service to home buyers and sellers. She is a graduate of UVM and lives in Lincoln.

Kathleen (Kathie) Berard, who earned a master’s at Saint Michael's College in 1996, and served most recently as senior gifts officer at Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa., has been named Individual Giving Officer at Saint Michael’s College. She began at the liberal arts residential Catholic college on March 28th. Ms. Berard closed a $1 million gift for Wilson’s library project just before leaving that college.
