Debra Jensen and her husband, Jim, have moved from Mesa, AZ where Debra was a Realtor with Keller Williams Integrity First. This is a move home for Debra because she grew up in Essex Jct. Merchants Bank announces appointment of Michael Hayes as Community Banking Manager at College Street

Merchants Bank has announced the appointment of Michael Hayes as Community Banking Manager of the College Street, Burlington office.

Hayes comes to Merchants from Citizens Bank, where he managed the Shelburne Road office in South Burlington for the past five years. Prior to that, he worked as a financial advisor and investment banker for many years in Connecticut and New York.

New clinical supervisor of speech and language department at North Country Hospital

Fresh out of college, Kate Schweitzer was hired in June of 2006 as a new speech and language pathologist at North Country Hospital. Little did she know six years later she’d be heading up the department.

Kate took over the helms of the department in early February when she accepted the position of the clinical supervisor.

“Not much will change in the department,” Kate said. “We’re going to continue to provide great patient care and work on keeping open communication with the other departments we work closely with.”

Richard Deane, AIA joins Board of Directors of the Vermont Chapter of the American Institute of Architects

Richard Deane, AIA has joined the Board of Directors of the Vermont Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

A principal at TruexCullins Architecture and Interior Design, Richard is a registered architect in Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire and New York, with a special focus on the planning and design of sustainable workplaces and facilities for higher education clients.

Amy Caldwell joins VSO Staff

Amy Caldwell was recently appointed marketing director of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra. Caldwell brings experience in managing and administering varied business operations, and for 20 years has been owner of The Dressing Room, a successful small business specializing in women’s clothing and accessories in St. Albans. She is also owner/instructor of Discover Music, a private music studio in Fairfield. In the past, Caldwell taught design at the college level and music education in elementary schools in Westford and Fairfield, Vermont.
