Vermont Mutual Insurance completes leadership succession plan

Vermont Mutual Insurance Group has finalized its leadership succession plan with company President Mark J. McDonnell accepting the role of CEO. He succeeds outgoing CEO and current board chair Daniel C. Bridge, who retired from Vermont Mutual on Dec. 31.

An additional key component of the succession plan is the promotion of Brody N. Gilbert, senior vice president of finance and operations, to executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Primmer Piper welcomes three attorneys, elects new shareholders

The New England-based law firm Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer has announced the hiring of attorneys Debra L. Mayotte, Holly A. Kramer and Melissa M. Vale, and the election of Nicholas J. Deleault, Peter I. Dysart and Christina A. Jensen as shareholders.

Mayotte joined the firm’s insurance law, coverage, defense and litigation team, based in Manchester, New Hampshire. With a primary practice in insurance defense, she represents individuals, small business owners and corporations.

PC Construction names new director of business development

Lisa Beeler, former business development manager at the civil engineering firm Haley Ward Inc. in Bangor, Maine, has been appointed director of business development at PC Construction.

Beeler, a graduate of the University of Southern Maine, brings to PC Construction a decade of business development and marketing experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industry. In her new role, Beeler will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive business opportunities in Maine and New Hampshire.

Governor appoints five to newly created Land Use Review Board

Gov. Phil Scott has appointed members to all five slots of the newly created Land Use Review Board, the organization responsible for the administration of Act 250, Vermont’s land use and development law.
