Bill Belcher, former president and executive director at the Ucross Foundation in Wyoming, has been appointed chief of advancement at Vermont Studio Center, a Johnson-based nonprofit organization that hosts the largest fine arts and writing residency program in the country.

In his new role, Belcher will oversee development, communications, alumni relations and admissions. He joins VSC with more than two decades of experience in external relations, fundraising and institutional storytelling, as well as executive-level leadership within the artist residency field.

Heather Ross, director and shareholder at Sheehey, Furlong & Behm, and Alex Halpern, president at Freeman French Freeman, have been elected chair and vice chair, respectively, of the Lake Champlain Chamber Board of Directors. The chamber also announced that Mimi Buttenheim, Erin Evarts, Hans van Wees and Andrew Way have joined the board.
