Coulter promoted to assistant vice president at Community National
Community National Bank has announced the promotion of Robin Coulter to assistant vice president and branch administration officer. In her new role, she will be overseeing CNB’s branch network as well as retail operations.
Coulter began working at CNB in 2000 and will celebrate her 25-year work anniversary in June. She has worked as a teller, certified teller, personal banker, Island Pond office supervisor, Newport office manager and branch administration officer.
Kristin Carlson joins Central Vermont Medical Center board
Kristin Carlson, vice president of strategic and external affairs at Green Mountain Power, has joined the Central Vermont Medical Center Board of Trustees.
Carlson also serves as board chair at the ECHO Leahy Center for Lake Champlain and is the vice chair of the Vermont Community Foundation Board. Prior to joining Green Mountain Power, she was senior political reporter and anchor at WCAX-TV, where she won multiple journalism awards for her investigative work, including the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award.
Vermont State Police promotes two in criminal division to captain
The Vermont State Police has promoted Lts. John-Paul Schmidt and Ashley "Skip" Barnes to the rank of captain in the criminal division, effective Jan. 26.
Schmidt, who joined the State Police in 1999, will serve as commander of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations. He succeeds Capt. Scott Dunlap, who is retiring after a distinguished 21-year career.

The University of Vermont Health Network Board of Trustees recently elected Thomas Golonka (pictured) as chair and welcomed new members Dr. Dragos Banu, Dr. Sarah Harm, Heidi Melbostad and Christine Peters.

Reinbow Riding Center appoints new board members
Reinbow Riding Center, a therapeutic horsemanship center based in Rutland County, has elected Jacquelyn Bode Marston of Castleton, Donna Merkle of Rutland and Sharon Lickerman of Mount Holly and New York City to its board of directors. In addition, Mary Jane Osborn will now serve as an honorary board member.
