Emeriti status for Lyndon State’s Fitch and Portner - retired professors honored by Vermont State Colleges

Two former Lyndon State College professors, Jon Fitch and Richard Portner, have been granted Professor of Humanities Emeritus status. The awards were confirmed through a special vote by the Vermont State College (VSC) Board of Trustees. LSC President Joe Bertolino nominated both candidates for the honor.

Maple Leaf Farm promotes Melissa Lambert

Bill Young, Executive Director of Maple Leaf Farm is pleased to announce the promotion of Melissa Lambert to Admissions Coordinator. Melissa joined the staff in November, 2012 as a per diem Treatment Counselor and became a full-time Admissions Counselor in March, 2013. She holds an MSW from the University of South Carolina and worked previously in hospices in South Carolina and South Carolina.

Ross Sneyd named Vice President of National Life Group Foundation

Ross Sneyd has been named vice president of National Life Group’s Charitable Foundation.

“Ross is a natural fit for this role given his familiarity and dedication to our community,” said Beth Rusnock, president of the Foundation. “He’s a strong addition to our team and will help us do even more good for our neighbors.”

The National Life Group Foundation awards roughly $500,000 in grants annually to nonprofit organizations in Vermont and the Dallas, Texas region, which are the homes to the company’s two campuses.
