Rachel Lomonaco joins VHB as a Water Resources Scientist in the Growing Environmental and Energy Services Group in Vermont

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB) announces that Rachel Lomonaco has joined the firm as a Water Resources Scientist in the Environmental and Energy Services group.

Ms. Lomonaco received her Bachelors degree in geology from the University of Vermont, and a Masters degree in engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. She specializes in hazardous waste site management, environmental site assessments, as well as analysis and remediation of soil, groundwater and air. Her expertise will be a strategic addition to the firm’s growing Vermont office. She is currently working on several ski industry and energy-related assignments for VHB, including projects for Smugglers’ Notch, Stratton Mountain, Bromley Mountain and Green Mountain Power.

Prior to beginning with VHB, Ms. Lomonaco worked as an environmental scientist with Heindel & Noyes, Inc. in Burlington, Vermont as well as The Chazen Companies in Poughkeepsie, New York. Aside from work, Rachel enjoys outdoor pursuits, including cross-county skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing, hiking and gardening.
