Mansfield Heliflight has announced that Jessica Gingras has joined their company to manage and develop marketing and public affairs efforts. Jessica Gingras brings to the company a wealth of experience and knowledge of the Vermont business industry, having spent the last four years as the lobbyist and government affairs program manager for the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. During her years at the Chamber, Gingras lobbied on behalf of pro-business issues, and was the face of the Chamber’s mission and advocacy team.

Dr. Carol Dickson, faculty member in Environmental Humanities at Sterling College, has been appointed the Dean of Academics effective December 2014. She has been serving as the interim Dean of Academics since August 2014.

GeoDesign Inc. announced the promotion of Shawn P. Kelley, Ph.D., P.E. to senior associate. Kelley, a firm shareholder, will continue to provide project management and develop and serve new clients based in the Windsor, VT office. Starting with the firm in June 2004, he manages a number of different projects, including geotechnical engineering design work, construction observation services and geotechnical instrumentation. He also manages the soil testing laboratory in the Windsor office.

Dr. Chip Chiappinelli, a pediatrician with Mousetrap Pediatrics, was honored with the fourth annual Deogracias “Deo” P. Esguerra, MD Service Award at Northwestern Medical Center’s Medical Staff Appreciation Dinner held November 21, 2014.

The award was created in 2011 to honor a provider with a “passion for excellence and dedication to the patients of our community.” Its namesake, Dr. Esguerra, was known as a caring, passionate and inspirational physician who loved both the science and art of medicine.

Brattleboro Retreat has announced the appointment of Steven L. Monette as the hospital’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with a start date effective December 1st.

Monette comes to the Retreat with extensive experience in healthcare finance. His most recent position was at Valley Regional Healthcare, Inc., in Claremont, NH, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since 2006. Before assuming that position he served for one year as Valley Regional Healthcare’s controller.
