Mt. Ascutney Hospital to celebrate storied career of Dr. Beach Conger

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has announced a special event to celebrate the career and departure of Dr. Beach Conger, who has been affiliated with the Hospital for almost four decades. On Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM, friends, family, patients and colleagues are invited to gather at the Sumner Mansion Inn in Hartland, Vermont to pay tribute to the work and life of Dr. Conger, an accomplished physician, author and educator.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont employee Candace Pischetola named customer service representative of the year

A Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont (BCBSVT) customer service representative was named Customer Service Representative of the Year by a national quality review organization. Candace Pischetola was selected as the top performing call center representative from among 3,500 “world class certified” representatives from over 500 call centers across the US and world.

UVM College of Medicine announces 2015 Medical Alumni Association Award honorees

The University of Vermont College of Medicine has announced the winners of the 2015 Medical Alumni Association Awards to be presented during its annual Medical Alumni Reunion, June 12, 2015, on the UVM College of Medicine campus.

Raymond J. Anton, M.D. ’70, is the 2015 recipient of the A. Bradley Soule Award, established in 1983, which honors an alumnus/a whose loyalty and dedication to the College of Medicine most emulate those qualities found in its first recipient, A. Bradley Soule, M.D.'28.

today announced Alice Lissarrague of Shelburne has been accepted as an

associate member in the association. IECA associate members are

Dairy Vision Vermont - a farmer led initiative to assist

and support forward thinking dairy farms – has announced this

year’s leadership team. These directors will join the rest of the board to

guide the organization into its third year of working with farms and

management teams. The focus will continue to be development of long range

business plans for farmers in commodity milk production, which is a vital

component of Vermont agriculture.

Rutland Area VNA & Hospice hires director of hospice & palliative care

Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice (RAVNAH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicole Moran, MSN, RN, as Director of Hospice and Palliative Care for the newly formed VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region (VNAHSWR). In her role, Moran will oversee both the hospice and palliative care programs for VNAHSWR’s three agencies: Bennington Area VNA & Hospice (BAVNAH), Dorset Area VNA & Hospice (DAVNAH) and Rutland Area VNA & Hospice.
