Dan Summers II, Interim Dean of Admissions at Southern Vermont College (SVC), has been selected to participate in the College Board’s Enrollment Leadership Academy (ELA). The ELA is a yearlong professional development program that cultivates the next generation of enrollment leaders through sessions focused on leadership skills and key enrollment management issues. The sessions will be facilitated by educational professionals including enrollment managers, researchers and other specialists.

Kim Fine, Director of Development and Public Relations at Kurn Hattin Homes in Westminster, Vermont, has been recertified by CFRE International as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). Fine joins over 5,300 professionals around the world who hold the CFRE designation.
Kelsey Pierce joins SVMC’s ExpressCare
Southwestern Vermont Medical Center has announced the appointment of Kelsey Pierce, PA, as a physician assistant in the hospital’s ExpressCare department.
Pierce is a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine and Boston College, both in Boston. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
“ExpressCare has the resources to treat patients of all ages with a variety of needs,” Pierce said. “I am happy to join this team and use my skills providing the care patients require when they are in need.”
Drum Major Mike Edson receives Fort Ticonderoga’s Lifetime Leadership Achievement Award
Mike Edson, Drum Major of Fort Ticonderoga’s Fife and Drum Corps, received Fort Ticonderoga’s Lifetime Leadership Achievement Award during the Saturday evening (July 25) Fife and Drum Corps Twilight Concert, in recognition of his dedicated forty years of lifetime leadership, commitment, and support of Fort Ticonderoga and the Fife and Drum Corps.
