SVMC ExpressCare appoints new physician assistant

SVMC ExpressCare, a part of Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC), welcomes Karena Webber, PA-C, to the practice and to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Medical Group.

Webber graduated with a master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from MCPHS University in New Hampshire and received her undergraduate degree in medical biology from The University of New England in Maine. In addition, Webber is a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). She is also certified in Basic Life Support/CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Welch announces winner of 35th Annual Congressional Art Competition

Rep. Peter Welch (D-VT) has announced the winner of the 35th Annual Congressional Art Competition at the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier. Peri Kate Navarro of Colchester and Colchester High School won first-place honors for her mixed-media painting, “The Wanderer”. Navarro’s piece was selected from a field of 141 entries from students representing 31 high schools across Vermont.

Speech language pathologist joins Stern Center for Language and Learning team

The Stern Center for Language and Learning in Williston has hired Karen Rodgers to join their team of licensed and certified speech language pathologists (SLPs). Rodgers has over 12 years of experience in the field and was most recently employed as a SLP for Easter Seals, where she provided speech language pathology and feeding services for patients ages birth to 18 years. She received her Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from Temple University in 2004.

Benjamin Russell and Seth Blanchard achieve Circle of Success recognition

Benjamin Russell and Seth Blanchard, Private Wealth Advisors with Ameriprise Financial, have qualified for the company’s Circle of Success annual recognition program. Russell and Blanchard were honored for this achievement at the 2016 National Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
