BlackRock Construction begins construction on state of the art office building in South Burlington

BlackRock Construction recently broke ground on a state of the art office building at Meadowlands Business Park in South Burlington. The completed two-story building will boast modern architecture and 18,590 sf. The site includes an additional "build-to-suit" two-story, 12,000 sf office building. When the project is complete, there will be two buildings with a total of 30,000 sf.

People’s United Community Foundation announces latest in awards designation

The People’s United Community Foundation, the philanthropic arm of People’s United Bank, announced that it has once again awarded $5,000 to Camp Ta-Kum-Ta in South Hero. This brings the total to over $22,000 in 5 years. For more than two decades, Camp Ta-Kum-Ta has provided a safe, loving place where children who have cancer, or who are in remission, can play, swim, share and heal. The camp is offered year-round at no cost to families with children between the ages of seven and 17 who live in Vermont and Northern New York or receive treatment in those areas.

Bread Loaf awards the Ronald A Mainelli Memorial Scholarship

Bread Loaf Corporation has awarded Sophie Ann Saunders, with the Ronald A. Mainelli Memorial Scholarship. Saunders of Middlebury, Vermont will be attending Tufts University in the fall. The Mainelli Scholarship assists a student in preparation for a career in architecture or engineering in the construction industry. Established in 1984, in memory of Bread Loaf’s founder, the $1,000.00 Scholarship is awarded annually for the duration of a student’s four year undergraduate program, for a total of $4,000.00.

Nineteen DRM attorneys recognized by Chambers USA

Attorneys Elizabeth K. Rattigan and Willemien Dingemans Miller are new this year to the roster of 19 attorneys at the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC who are recognized in Chambers USA 2016.
