Stern Center hires new Professional Learning Provider

The Stern Center for Language and Learning in Williston, VT recently hired Dr Ben Williams as their newest Professional Learning Provider. For more than 10 years, Dr Williams has specialized in the area of trauma informed practices from both an educational and public health perspective. He has worked at a variety of universities, colleges, academies, and learning centers throughout Vermont, Ohio, Maine, and Massachusetts. Over the years he has held many titles, including Program Director, Professor, and State Licensure Coordinator.

First Call for Chittenden County appoints two new leaders, seeks director

Howard Center’s former 24/7/365 crisis center for children and families and its adult mobile crisis have recently been integrated and expanded as First Call for Chittenden County, to serve all Chittenden County residents. While the program is still seeking a director to lead the team of 25 full-time staff and 40 substitutes, two staff leaders have been promoted to assist in overseeing the implementation of the new program.

Local Independent Educational Consultant accepted in National Professional Association

The Independent Educational Consultants Association, (IECA), today announced Alice Lissarrague, Lissarrague College Guidance, of Shelburne, VT, has been accepted as a professional member in the association. Professional membership in the association is reserved for only the most capable and experienced independent educational consultants (IEC’s). It requires an appropriate master’s degree or comparable training, and a minimum of three years experience in counseling.

Worcester joins The Bank of Bennington

The Bank of Bennington recently announced that Karen Worcester has joined the bank as Manager of their newest branch at 143 Woodstock Avenue in Rutland. Worcester joins The Bank of Bennington with nearly thirty-years of banking experience. She started her career as a teller for Vermont National and was most recently an Assistant Branch Manager for Berkshire Bank in Rutland.
