VRAN announces new Executive Director

Lee Khan, Board Chair of the Vermont Rail Action Network (VRAN), announces the appointment of Larry Lewack of Burlington as VRAN’s new Executive Director. Larry began work at VRAN’s new office in downtown Burlington on February 15. Larry brings 18 years’ experience as a program manager and direct service provider in nonprofit human services in Vermont, working for several groups including the KidSafe Collaborative, NAMI-Vermont and the Brain Injury Association. He earned an M.A. in Nonprofit Management at Union Institute & University in 2004.

McElveen named Vice President, Communications & Marketing at Dartmouth-Hitchcock

Josh McElveen, a distinguished journalist currently serving as political director and news anchor of WMUR-TV in Manchester, has been appointed Vice President for Communications and Marketing for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system. McElveen brings more than two decades of marketing and media experience, along with a deep knowledge of New Hampshire and broad connections across the region.

Chris Sargent joins DuBois & King

Chris Sargent, AICP, has joined DuBois & King as a Senior Planner in the firm’s Transportation Division. Mr Sargent is a planner with 16 years of experience providing land use planning, permit review, project management, grant administration and energy policy guidance to municipalities as a planner at the Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission. Mr Sargent resides in Randolph and is based out of the firm’s Randolph office.
