Vermont Association of Insurance Professionals announces three new members

The Vermont Association of Insurance Professionals is pleased to announce that Kevin Croteau, Susan Rowell and Zachary Smith, all from Vermont Mutual Insurance Group, Montpelier, VT have become the newest members of the VTAIP.

Membership in VTAIP is an industry commitment to the insurance community through leadership development, career enhancement and creating relationships with other industry related connections.

The VTAIP meets monthly and encourages outside community members to join us at our dinner meetings to connect and network with insurance related professionals.

Champlain College Online enhances cybersecurity program with new leadership

Champlain College Online, designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cyber Defense by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security, has announced a new chair of cybersecurity programs. Kathleen Hyde, MCIS, MBA, will help equip Champlain's adult students with the business and technical skills to solve some of the nation's most complex information security challenges.

SVMC Orthopedics adds three new associate providers

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) is pleased to welcome Katherine M. Kelleher, MSN, RN, FNP-C, Samuel Smith, Jr, PA; and Amy Wheaton, PA, to the SVMC Orthopedics team and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Physicians. Kelleher received her Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College in Massachusetts and a bachelor’s from McGill University in Montreal. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Kelleher has worked for the past year as a registered nurse in an Emergency Department, before which she worked as an emergency medical technician.

Vermont Business Group to honor Treasurer Beth Pearce

Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) will recognize Vermont State Treasurer Beth Pearce at a legislative breakfast next week for her work to establish a public retirement system, clean up Vermont’s waterways, and to address the impacts of climate change through state investments. Pearce will receive the ‘Public Servant of the Year’ award at VBSR’s Legislative Breakfast on the morning of Wednesday, December 6 at Main Street Landing in Burlington. VBSR will also announce its 2018 legislative agenda at the event.
