Flyin Ryan Hawks Foundation announces Operations Assistant

The Flyin Ryan Hawks Foundation has hired Christine Golden of Golden Consulting LLC as Operations Assistant to assist with the day-to-day functioning of the foundation from office administration to handling donations, assisting with events, and much more.

Christine Golden has a background in marketing, bookkeeping and project management and holds a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Vermont and a BA from Clark University. She feels honored and excited to have this chance to contribute to the important work of the Flyin Ryan Hawks foundation.

Kloeckner of TD Bank named ‘Innovation and Impact Housing Hero’ by Vermont Housing Finance Agency

Gisele M Kloeckner, Senior Relationship Manager at TD Bank in Burlington, has been named an Innovation and Impact Housing Hero by the Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA). In presenting the award to Kloeckner, the VHFA cited her achievement in overseeing, on behalf of TD Bank, more than $400 million of credit toward the development and rehabilitation of affordable housing, impacting more than 1,000 homes.

SVHC names Thurber as Interim Director of Development and SVHC Foundation

Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) has appointed Carson Thurber as interim director of Development and the SVHC Foundation. Thurber has worked as a senior gift officer for the Foundation since 2015. “Carson is tremendously professional, dedicated, and enthusiastic in his efforts on behalf of the SVHC Foundation and its mission to support our health system,” said Leslie Keefe, the vice president for Corporate Development. “We expect Carson’s leadership to be an asset as we continue the traditions of philanthropy and exceptional health care in southwestern Vermont.”

LHP announces the appointment of two new members to its Board of Trustees.

Joining Lamoille Housing Partnership’s (LHP’s) Board of Trustees is Brian Story of Johnson, and Graham Mink of Stowe. “We are always on the lookout for caring, thoughtful individuals to help LHP continue moving forward to meet our mission,” said Lamoille Housing Partnership Executive Director, Jim Lovinsky. “Brian and Graham bring a wealth of municipal and private development expertise and experience to our board, along with their interest and energy. Attwood named MAHHC Employee of the Month for November 2018

Mt Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) announced that Rose Attwood has been named as the Hospital’s Employee of the Month for November 2018. The monthly award recognizes employees who have demonstrated sustained service excellence in their respective departments and who have displayed compassion, a caring approach, and continuous hard work within their community.

As a member of the MAHHC Environmental Services team, Attwood is responsible for maintaining clean patient rooms, corridors, and other assigned areas, with a focus on the Acute Unit.

Castleton alumna earns spot in VSCS Hall of Fame

Olivia "Libby" Duane Adams will be the fourth Castleton graduate to be inducted into the Vermont State Colleges System Hall of Fame this spring. Adams earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Castleton in 1984 and became the co-founder of Alteryx, Inc, a global leader in the data analytics industry headquartered in Irvine, California in 1997. Now serving as chief customer officer, Adams takes a holistic approach to all aspects of each customer's experience.

UVM’s Ricketts, Cushman, Tracy, Page named to list of world’s most influential researchers

Four University of Vermont faculty, including a dean at the university, have been named to a list of the world’s most impactful researchers, based on the number of times their published studies have been cited by other researchers over the past decade. Researchers on the list are in the top 1 percent of all scholars whose work has been cited by others. The prestigious Highly Cited Researchers list is compiled and published annually by Clarivate Analytics.

Stone welcomes David Abrahamson, PE, PMP

Stone Environmental is pleased to announce that David Abrahamson, PE, PMP has been hired as a Senior Engineer to further develop Stone’s Environmental Assessment and Remediation service offerings and environmental engineering services. Dave will provide senior engineering leadership, as well as apply his project management and leadership skills to enhance Stone’s delivery of projects. Dave has been providing his expertise to Stone on specific projects on a part-time basis since April of this year.
