Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) has appointed Carson Thurber as interim director of Development and the SVHC Foundation. Thurber has worked as a senior gift officer for the Foundation since 2015. “Carson is tremendously professional, dedicated, and enthusiastic in his efforts on behalf of the SVHC Foundation and its mission to support our health system,” said Leslie Keefe, the vice president for Corporate Development. “We expect Carson’s leadership to be an asset as we continue the traditions of philanthropy and exceptional health care in southwestern Vermont.”
Thurber is a member of the Bennington Select Board and the Bennington County Chamber of Commerce. Before his work with SVHC, Thurber was assistant headmaster at the Stratton Mountain School in Stratton, VT. In addition to his background in academic administration, Thurber owns and manages a real estate holding company in Southern Vermont. Thurber received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Babson College in Wellesley, MA.
