Promotion announcement - Commander, Criminal Division

Col Matthew T Birmingham, director of the Vermont State Police, is pleased to announce the following promotion: Capt Dan Trudeau, commander of the Major Crime Unit, to major/Criminal Division Commander at Headquarters. He will take sole command of the division effective Dec 23, 2018.

Choquette wins Matthew Lyon First Amendment award

Joseph L Choquette III of Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC has been presented the Matthew Lyon Award for his lifetime commitment to the First Amendment and the public’s right to know the truth in Vermont.

The Vermont Press Association honored Choquette at its annual awards banquet Thursday, Dec 13 at the Capitol Plaza in Montpelier.
