NBT Bank’s New England Region President Matthew Durkee announced Daniel Werme has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Paula Steele is now Vice President.

Werme has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and currently serves as Regional Commercial Banking Manager. Prior to joining NBT Bank in 2017, he was a commercial banking regional manager for Merchants Bank. He also worked as a commercial banking officer and branch president. Werme, a resident of New Haven, is active in his community serving with the Bristol, Vermont Revolving Loan Fund.

Ted Brady, Deputy Secretary of Vermont’s Agency of Commerce and Community Development, is the recipient of the Bernice Murray Award, received from the Vermont Community Development Association (VCDA) in recognition of his contributions to community development in Vermont. Mr Brady was appointed to the position by Governor Philip Scott in 2017.

On Saturday, January 12th, Hall of Fame Western Swing DJ Billy Bowles announced the Academy of Western Artists’(AWA) five finalist nominees for the 23rd annual Will Rogers Awards on his Swinging Country Radio & Internet Show on KSSL-FM in Lubbock, Texas. Bowles revealed that the Burlington-based western swing band, Rick & The All-Star Ramblers featuring Taryn Noelle, were nominated by Western Swing DJs from around the world as one of five finalists in all five of the AWA western swing award categories.
