Town of Randolph hires Director of Economic Development
Randolph officials have announced the hiring of Joshua Jerome as their new Director of Economic Development. Jerome will oversee economic development initiatives such as business recruitment, assessing work force housing, zoning regulations, infrastructure investments to allow growth and streamlining the permitting process.
Ilana Cass named Chair of Obstetrics & Gynecology
Ilana Cass, MD, vice chair of Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB-GYN) at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and professor of OB-GYN at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, has been appointed Chair of OB-GYN at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (D-H) and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
Welch appoints Rebecca Ellis to lead Vermont office
Rep Peter Welch (D-Vt) announced today that Rebecca Ellis of Waterbury Center will join his staff on March 25th as state director. She replaces George Twigg, who relocated to Colorado in January.
Okemo Valley TV selected OVRCC Member of the Month
Patrick Cody of Okemo Valley TV was recently selected as the Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce (OVRCC) January 2019 Member of the Month. Okemo Valley TV has been serving the area with community media since 2001. Okemo TV also hosts a monthly Chamber television program.
Some of the criteria for the OVRCC Member of the Month Program are that the member: contributes to community, participates in trade or TV shows, is current on membership dues, partners together with other businesses, and is an ambassador for the chamber and Okemo Valley region.

VEDA elects new leadership to Board of Directors
The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) today announced three changes to its Board of Directors, electing a new Chair, Vice-Chair and Treasurer. Former Chair John Snow of Charlotte stepped down from his role on February 17th. "VEDA is in great hands with these changes to its Board leadership," said Jo Bradley, VEDA's Chief Executive Officer. "Our Board's depth of experience is an invaluable asset to VEDA, helping us make decisions that improve Vermont's economic vitality through business financing and job creation."
UPS honors Vermont drivers for 25 years of safe driving
UPS (NYSE:UPS) today announced that five elite drivers from Vermont are among 1,436 newly inducted worldwide into the Circle of Honor, an honorary organization for UPS drivers who have achieved 25 or more years of accident-free driving.
Vermont boasts 34 Circle of Honor drivers with a combined 967 years of accident-free driving. Joseph Young of Marshfield is the state’s senior-most safe driver, with 38 years of accident-free driving under his belt. There are 338 total full-time UPS drivers in Vermont.
