Vermont’s statewide land conversation organization is proud to announce that Abby White has joined the Vermont Land Trust (VLT) as its new Vice President for Strategic Communications, bringing 20 years of communications experience across mission-driven non-profits and businesses. White is responsible for broadening the reach of VLT and transforming the way it connects with its many stakeholders, including members, donors, landowners, and partners. She serves on the VLT Leadership Team, under the direction of President and CEO, Nick Richardson.

Comcast today announced that Dennis Mathew has been named Senior Vice President of the company’s Western New England Region, which employs more than 1,600 people and encompasses 300 communities in Connecticut, western Massachusetts, Vermont, western New Hampshire and New York. In this role, Mathew is the top executive responsible for all aspects of the business including sales, marketing, operations, financial performance and the customer experience.

Recognized as New England’s premier event exploring clean energy innovation and climate solutions, Renewable Energy Vermont’s 19th annual Conference and Exposition, REV2019, themed REV It Up: Empowering Energy Transformation, convened hundreds of business, political and non-profit leaders for two days of collective re-envisioning of New England’s energy needs. The conference also provided an opportunity to recognize the contributions of individuals who have devoted their lives to addressing the climate crisis by advancing renewable energy in Vermont.

The Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies (VCET) announced the promotion of Phoebe Lo to Director of Operations and Culture, a role in which she will continue to build community support for entrepreneurs throughout Vermont. Since starting as VCET’s Operations Coordinator in September 2017, Lo has expanded membership to over 190 members across both Burlington and Middlebury locations, spearheaded visual design, internal events, and built and launched the ScaleHere program.
