Vermont Business Magazine Thanks to the incredible generosity and support of the community, Rutland Regional Medical Center recently exceeded its $377,000 goal in support of the Imagine a Healthy Heart campaign to bring a new nuclear medicine camera to the Rutland Heart Center. The Rutland Health Foundation, the fundraising department of Rutland Regional Medical Center, reported $377,788 gifts and pledges raised as of the campaign close on September 30, 2019.
“The support we receive from the community continues to make a difference for our patients”, said Claudio Fort, President and CEO. “We are grateful for the overwhelming generosity and support received from our local community, our dedicated donors, volunteers, and staff who helped us reach this important goal to bring this advanced nuclear cardiac imaging to the Rutland Heart Center and our local region.”
Cardiology nuclear stress testing is a vital preventative procedure for outpatients with coronary artery disease. Imaging determines a patient’s risk of heart attack, or another cardiac event. The new camera comes with enhanced capabilities including improved imaging, improved patient comfort, and reduced scan time to optimize the patient experience. The camera has been installed at the Rutland Heart Center and is fully operational.
