Governor Phil Scott reappoints Jessica Holmes to Green Mountain Care Board
Governor Phil Scott announced the reappointment of Jessica Holmes, PhD, to serve as a member of the Green Mountain Care Board. Holmes has served on the Board since 2014. “Jessica has been a great asset to the Board, and I’m pleased to see her continue her service,” said Governor Scott. “Her extensive background in health policy and economics is so valuable as we work to make healthcare costs more affordable for Vermonters and ensure a strong healthcare system.”
Comcast appoints John Ferguson as VP of Finance for Western New England region
Comcast announced the appointment of John Ferguson as vice president of Finance for the company’s Western New England Region, which includes more than 300 communities in Vermont, Connecticut, New York, western Massachusetts and western New Hampshire.
In this role, Ferguson will oversee all financial operations, including finance and accounting; warehouse and materials; information technology; facilities; security; fleet management; and environmental health and safety.
Community Health Centers of Burlington announce new CMO
The Community Health Centers of Burlington (CHCB) is pleased to announce Dr. Heather Stein has been named Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Stein graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in biochemistry and a BA in classical studies. She attended medical school at West Virginia University before moving to Vermont for her family medicine residency at Fletcher Allen (now the University of Vermont Medical Center).
