Comcast announced the appointment of John Ferguson as vice president of Finance for the company’s Western New England Region, which includes more than 300 communities in Vermont, Connecticut, New York, western Massachusetts and western New Hampshire.
In this role, Ferguson will oversee all financial operations, including finance and accounting; warehouse and materials; information technology; facilities; security; fleet management; and environmental health and safety.
“John has a proven track record having been with Comcast for 20 years and comes to our region with a vast amount of valuable finance experience,” said Dennis Mathew, senior vice president of Comcast’s Western New England Region.“I’m delighted to have him as part of our team and look forward to the energy, ideas and insight that he will bring to this important role.”
Prior to joining Comcast’s Western New England Region, Ferguson served as senior director of Finance and Accounting for Comcast’s Keystone Region, which is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and had also previously served as director of Business Operations for Comcast Business for the California Region.
Ferguson holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania. He will soon be relocating to Connecticut with his wife and son.
