Stebbins joins Union Bank’s commercial lending team

VDP welcomes new executive director Cummings

The Vermont Democratic Party is pleased to announce that Claire Cummings has been hired as the Party’s next Executive Director. In this role, Cummings will oversee the Party’s effort to fundraise, recruit and support Democratic candidates, and build a year-round grassroots organizing operation that keeps Vermont blue in 2022 and beyond.

Cummings returns to the VDP after serving as 2020 Statewide Organizing Director for the Vermont Democratic Party.

IAIP names Farrar Region 1's 2021 Risk Management Professional of the Year

The 2021 Region 1 Risk Management Professional of the year for Region 1 International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP) is Lindsey Farrar. Lindsey has been a valuable member of the Risk Management Team at Hickok and Boardman since 2013, rising from Service Coordinator to Workers Compensation Risk Manager. She has obtained her Worker's Compensation Adjusters license in Vermont New Hampshire and New York. She has also received her RWCS, Registered Workers Compensation Specialist Designation.

Delta Dental Plan of Vermont announces the election of a new board trustee, Wanda R. Heading-Grant, Ed.D., SHRM-SCP, of Colchester. Heading-Grant is the first vice provost for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and chief diversity officer at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC), part of Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC), announces the winners of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Patients nominate nurses, and a committee presents one award each month.

“This is an exceptional group of highly skilled and compassionate professionals,” said Pamela Duchene, PhD, APRN, vice president of Patient Care Services and chief nursing officer. “The DAISY Award is a really special way for us to communicate our appreciation and our patients’ appreciation for their important work.”

CVHHH celebrates the efforts of volunteers with stories and photographs

Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice (CVHHH) is celebrating the contributions of its volunteers in recognition of National Volunteer Week. CVHHH relies on volunteers to provide critical supports to patients and programs at fundraising events and in preparation for Town Meeting Day, at public foot-care clinics, and in the office. In addition, Central Vermonters may also complete a six-week training program led by Nicole Dupont, Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, and volunteer with hospice patients and their families, including in local assisted living facilities and nursing homes.
