Vermont Philharmonic appoints Kyle Casazza as assistant conductor

Kyle Casazza, a critically acclaimed trombonist who serves as director of music at the Georgia School in Georgia, Vermont, has been appointed assistant conductor of the Vermont Philharmonic, the state's oldest community orchestra.

In this new role, Casazza will work closely with Music Director Lou Kosma on administrative and artistic duties, including planning programs, interpreting music, rehearsing musicians and participating in community outreach.

Lake Champlain Chamber’s Bunten selected for national talent development fellowship

Alex Bunten, director of workforce and education at the Lake Champlain Chamber, has been selected by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives for its 2025-26 Fellowship for Talent Development.

Bunten is one of 20 individuals from across the United States – and the only one from Vermont – participating in the fellowship, which aims to help chamber professionals understand their local talent development ecosystem and how they can strengthen the talent pipeline.

Taylor joins Coldwell Banker Hickok as training and risk management director

Cait Taylor, former real estate attorney at Gale Legal Group, has joined Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman as director of training and risk management. In this new role, she will provide critical support to Hickok agents through education, compliance guidance, and practical resources.

At Gale Legal Group, Taylor represented clients in various real estate matters. She began her career at the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, where she served as director of education and associate counsel.

Union Bank welcomes Mitchell Kent as SVP, risk officer

Mitchell Kent, former regional director of supervision for the Northeast region at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, has joined Union Bank in Shelburne Village as senior vice president and risk officer.

In this new role, Kent will oversee key components of Union Bank’s enterprise risk management program, including strategic, reputational, credit, compliance and operational risks, with a particular focus on information security and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
