Mitchell Kent, former regional director of supervision for the Northeast region at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, has joined Union Bank in Shelburne Village as senior vice president and risk officer.
In this new role, Kent will oversee key components of Union Bank’s enterprise risk management program, including strategic, reputational, credit, compliance and operational risks, with a particular focus on information security and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
Kent is a graduate of Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations and holds a law degree from New York University School of Law. He is actively involved in his community as a youth soccer coach, fundraiser for health-related causes and member of Temple Sinai in South Burlington.
