The Vermont Soap Company announces retirement of Plesent

Declaring that “The time to retire is when you are healthy enough to enjoy it”, The Vermont Soap Company announced the retirement of its long time CEO Larry Plesent. Plesent took VT Soap from “a twinkle in daddy’s eye” to its status today as one of Vermont’s most iconic companies.

Known for his hands on management style and a “there are no unimportant parts” holistic approach to life and work, Plesent was equally comfortable crawling around under equipment or shaking hands with bank Vice Presidents.

Cole joins KW Vermont’s Stowe office

Emily Cole has joined the Stowe Area Realty Group at KW Vermont-Stowe team from a Keller Williams office in Metro Atlanta.

Originally from Georgia and brought up on the West Coast of Ireland, Cole discovered a deep love for Vermont and this past year she and her wife were lucky to find a house they fell in love with in Barton.

“The Barton community has been extremely welcoming,” Cole said. “We feel quite fortunate to be in such a beautiful place with incredible people.”

Landi named director of brand and business development for Vermont Way Foods
