South Burlington-based Lund has announced several key promotions in its nationally recognized adoption department in the wake of Wanda Audette's retirement from her full-time role with the organization.

Karisa Thompson, adoption finalization coordinator, has been named to succeed Audette as director of adoption and co-director of Project Family. A 21-year veteran of Lund, Thompson brings deep expertise, unwavering compassion and strategic vision to this role.

Adam Avery, founding pastor of Church at the Well in Burlington, has been appointed executive director at ANEW Place, a homeless services agency serving adults in Chittenden County. Avery has served for years as a volunteer at the Burlington agency and recently completed a tenure on its board of directors.
