Four Seasons Sotheby’s International Realty names Rummel as EVP of sales

Four Seasons Sotheby’s International Realty has appointed John Rummel executive vice president of sales for the company’s Rutland, VT, office.

Rummel was licensed as a real estate salesperson in 1989 and took his first management position six years later. From 1995 to 2010, he led 10 different offices in the same company and became known as "the fix-it" guy. His proven leadership style advanced him to a general manager/vice president role encompassing 10 offices with more than 400 agents.

Red Cross Vermont honors Steve Costello as 'Everyday Hero'

The Vermont chapter of the American Red Cross has honored Steve Costello for his leadership and unwavering dedication to the community.

In a March 29 ceremony at Roots in Rutland, Costello was presented with the organization's Everyday Hero Award for his significant and lasting impact on blood-collection efforts in Vermont. In the last year alone, Costello has logged more than 160 volunteer hours advocating for blood donation and helping to secure the national blood supply.

Anthony Donaldson, MD, joins SVMC Urology

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center recently welcomed Anthony Donaldson, MD, to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam medical group and SVMC Urology. Donaldson, who is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology, formerly worked as department head of urology at the Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Florida and as staff urologist at both Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington and Glens Falls Hospital in New York.

JAG Productions names new director of development

JAG Productions in White River Junction has named Tamara Waraschinski as director of development. Since January 2020, Waraschinski has served as JAG's company manager, during which time she won several grants for the organization, including a $50,000 Shuttered Venue Grant from the US Small Business Association, a $15,000 New England Arts Resilience grant from New England Foundation for the Arts, and a $100,000 grant from Jane's Trust Foundation for JAG's new musical theater lab.

University of Vermont nursing professor honored for autism study

Laura Foran Lewis, assistant professor of nursing at the University of Vermont, has received the 2022 Best of The Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing award for her article "Exploring the Birth Stories of Women on the Autism Spectrum,” cowritten with recent College of Nursing and Health Sciences graduates Hannah Schirling, Emma Beaudoin, Hannah Scheibner and Alexa Cestrone.
