Vermont-based National Life Group recently honored seven employees for outstanding leadership at its annual Leadership Summit held Nov 16 at its Montpelier, VT, and Addison, TX, campuses. Each of the honorees were cited for emulating a different dimension of the company's "7 Cs" of leadership: comprehension, competency, confidence, conviction, courage, communication and character.

Recipients are:

Community National Bank recently announced the promotion of Sarah Chadburn to assistant vice president and commercial loan officer.

Chadburn started her career at Community National as a teller 13 years ago. She transferred to the commercial credit department in 2012, where she grew her commercial credit and lending knowledge. During this time, Chadburn was the bank’s portfolio manager and provided lending to its many municipalities, which she still does today. In 2021, she was promoted to commercial loan officer.

Erin Sigrist, president of the Vermont Retail & Grocers Association and executive director of the Vermont Specialty Food Association, has been elected chairwoman of the Council of State Retail Associations Board of Directors for 2023. Her term begins on Jan 1.

Sigrist’s new role includes leading CSRA's eight-person board, overseeing an annual conference, providing support for state retail associations, facilitating the exchange of information and launching a new Women Retail Leaders program.
